He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lester Ayers and Velma Frona Ayers (Mongold); and his brother Virgil Lee Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Janet Ayers (Mongold); his daughter Becky Marie Bell (James Stonestreet) of Fisher, WV; his granddaughter Carrie Marie Kimble (Jeffrey) of Petersburg, WV; his great grandchild Jayden Dewain Kimble; his stepgreat-grandson Braedyn Cole Kimble; and his siblings, Sara Katherine Ketterman of Dorcas, WV, William Martin "Pete" Ayers (Naomi) of Dorcas, WV and William Lester Ayers, Jr. (Velma) of Dorcas, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
