He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Douglas Black Sr. and Louise Annie Black (Hudson). He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Black; his children, Raeford Leonard "Lenny" Black II of Burien, WA and Dr. Michelle Sheri Braden (Steven Braden) of Charlottesville, VA; and his siblings, Sandra Quimby of California and Franklin D. Black Jr. of South Carolina. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
