He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Conway Crites and Wilda Mae Crites (Wratchford); his wife Yvonne W. Crites; and his siblings, Larry Crites, Garry Crites, Carl Crites, Darl "Ted" Crites and Ollie "Tootle" Mongold.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Lambert of Petersburg, Barbara Crites (Fred) of Petersburg, Debra Jones of Petersburg, Melissa Pezzanite of Keyser, WV, Darl VanMeter of Petersburg and John F. Crites of Dorcas, WV; and his siblings, Linda Sherman (Wendell) of Moorefield, Lucille Shupe of Moorefield, Virgil Crites of Petersbug, Kenneth "Sonny" Crites of Petersbug and Curtis Crites of Rig. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
