He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance William Hines and Ethel Margaret Hines (Vance); his wife Nellie Hines (Mitchell); and his siblings, Diana "Ann" Hardy, Leon Hines and Donald Hines.
He is survived by: his siblings, Roger A. Hines of Cobb, GA, Kenith "Joe" Hines of Petersburg, WV and Jean Hines Halterman of LeMesa, CA; and his brother-in-law Carl Hardy of Petersburg, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
