He is survived by: his parents, Michael Eugene Gilchrist, Sr. of Harrisonburg, VA and Sharon Ann Walters (Crider) of Old Fields, WV.; his wife SueAnn Gilchrist (Mongold); his parents-in-law, Mary Ann and Jimmie Hedrick of Petersburg, WV; his son Matthew A. Mongold of Petersburg, WV; his brother Michael E. Gilchrist, Jr. of Hartford, TN; and his half-siblings, Albert Walters of Fisher, WV, Cory L. Gilchrist of Old Fields, WV, Daniel Gilchrist of Harrisonburg, VA, Jimmy Gilchrist of Anderson, Indiana, Brittney Walters of Seneca Rocks, WV and Tina Gilchrist of Harrisonburg, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
