He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy William Boice and Eleanor Esther Boice (Sereno). He is survived by: his daughter Tricia Schommer; his grandchildren, Courtney, Jessica, Nicholas, Tyler, Sailor and Kennedy; his daughter Machelle Stevens (David); his grandchildren, Tori and Athena; his stepchildren, Jessica and Dustin; his stepgrandchild Finnley; his siblings, Bernard Lee Boice (Ann Marie), Patricia Burdette (Gerial) and Pamela Ullman; his cousin Mike Boice; and his pet Betsy. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
