He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Martin and Violet Friend-Martin. He is survived by: his brothers, James E., Percy, Donald, Thomas and Terry Martin; his wife Janet F. Weaver-Martin; and his children, Julie A. Martin-Gower (David R. Gower) and Daniel B. Martin. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren in addition to many adored nieces and nephews and surrogate children.
