It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney R. Rush of New Milton, West Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Rush and Neva Rush (White); and his siblings, Opal, Thelma, Radia, Ruby, Eleanor, Russel, Roy and Joseph.
He is survived by: his wife Mary J. Short Rush; his children, Debbie Pate (Jessie), Theresa McElhose (Charles), Rodney R. Rush Jr., Douglas Rush (Mary Ann), Wanda Rush and Lori Adams (Jim); his stepchildren, Lori Creighton (Michael) of Weston, Harold Short (Vanessa) of Bridgeport, Rodney Short of New Milton and Claude Short (Traci) of Webster County; and his sisters, Rita Cochran of Clarksburg, Anna McClung of Clarksburg and Donna Carter. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
