She was predeceased by: her parent Ramie Edward; her husband Spurgeon Wilkerson; and her siblings, Harry Lewis Painter, Juanita Bowyer and Polly Painter.

She is survived by: her parent Georgia Pearl Howard Painter; and her children, Melvin Painter (Audrey), Sandra Vass, Patty Davis (Rick), Cheryl Scarbro and Tammy Bowyer (Pete).
