He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Hewett and Evy Hewett of Shallotte, NC.; his wife Mary O'Gorman Hewett; and his siblings, Lou Ellen Midget, Eva Gore and Carl Hewett.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul (Cleo Hewett), Steven Hewett of King and Dan (Wendy Hewett); his grandchildren, Steve, Adam, Kerry, Kyle, Angela and Aaron; and his great grandchildren, Kinley and Logan.
Flowers will be accepted, but the family requests that donations be made to Action Against Hunger.
