With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joel Brian Burdette of Morgantown, West Virginia, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, who passed away on October 6, 2023 at the age of 23. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joel Brian Burdette to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Everette, Izetta Patterson, Carroll Burdette and Virginia "Grandma Parrot" Burdette; and his pets, Winston and Rosco.

He is survived by: his parents, Julie Patterson Burdette and Alex Buchanan of Ripley; his wife Mikala Brooke Burdette; his siblings, Nick Burdette (Sarah Crouse) of Charleston, WV, Brittaney Steele (Spencer) of Norman, OK and Jacob Burdette (Kaylee) of Evans, WV; his nephews, Grayson Burdette and Colson Steele; and his grandmother Rebecca Burdette of Sandyville, WV.. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
