He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert "Bob" Selbe and Catherine Selbe of Hughes Creek, WV.; his significant other Wilma-Shirlene Garretson; and his brother-in-law Harold Sizemore. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Selbe, Laura Selbe, John Selbe Jr. and Edsel Garretson; his grandchildren, Cameron Michael Scarbro, John Adam Cooper Jr., Emmaleigh Williams, Timothy Jones, Bryson Jones, Jonathan Garretson, Kalie Garretson and Alaya Garretson; his siblings, Bobby Selbe (Sharon), David Johnston (Sandy) and Brenda Sajid; and his close friend Gary Fernatt.
