Rhonda Elaine Ritter Obituary

Rhonda Elaine (Hunt) Ritter age, 62, a resident of Moatsville, WV., passed from this life peacefully surrounded by dear family, on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, in the Mon Health Medical Center, following a long and courageous battle of cancer.

She was born into this life on December 24, 1959, in Philippi, WV a daughter to the late Artle Shaffer and Carmella Hunt.

On October 20, 1979, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Jeffrey L. Ritter Sr., who survives at their home in Moatsville, WV.

Rhonda leaves behind her children, Jeffrey Lynn Ritter Jr., Aliza Christina Ritter, Christopher Ritter, Gregory Ritter, and wife Ashley, Michael Ritter; grandchildren, Kylie Ritter, Syvanna Ritter, Delcan Amos, and Aiden Ritter; her cousin, Peggy Fink.

Preceding her in death besides her parents was a brother, Terry Hunt.

Mrs. Ritter attended the schools of Barbour County and was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School. She loved and respected the elderly as being an in-home care provider working for the Barbour County Senior Center. Rhonda was faith full member of the Haven of Hope Worship Center of Belington. She loved making crafts, flower arrangements for those who had passed on, loved to sit on her porch and watch all of nature's beauty, loved singing hymns, and going to church. Rhonda will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Friends may gather from 5 pm until 9 pm., on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave., Philippi, WV., and again on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 9 am until 2 pm., at which time a funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Howard Swick and the Rev. Dave "Cowboy" Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery, near Moatsville. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Ritter Family with the arrangements.
