He is survived by: his wife Maxine Carte (Bolyard); his son Edwin Carte Jr. of Moatsville; and his stepchildren, Ron Root and Loretta Roberts of Bridgeport. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews Five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren.
