She was predeceased by: her parents, James Ross and Goldie Irene Bassett (Davis); her husband Charles "Sam" R. Swan; her children, Arthur Lee "Sammy" Swan and Melissa Jane Chandler; and her siblings, Sandra Keller, Shirley Henderson, Linda Newbrough and Robert Bassett.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Clark (Kevin) of Alma, WV, Robin Stackpole (William) of Sistersville, WV and Rhonda Jacobs (William "Jay") of Paden City, WV; her siblings, K. Darlene Owens (Robert) of Reader, WV, James Bassett of Middlebourne, WV and Debra Richard (J. R.) of Reader, WV; and her close friend Morning Star. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
