She was predeceased by: her parents, James Stewart Johnson and Mary Jane Johnson (Michael); her husband Paul Emory Payne, Sr.; her daughter Charlotte K. Dunham; her siblings, Gavin L. Johnson, George A. Johnson, Beverly S. Johnson, Freda E. Ash, Reva P. Payne, Ramona C. Kesecker and Wanda E. Johnson; and her son-in-law Wayne Dunham.

She is survived by: her sons, Paul E. Payne, Jr. (Ruth) and David J. "Joe" Payne (Sharon). She is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren.
