He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Russell and Dorothy Helen Staley (Stevens); his wife Norma Staley; and his siblings, Donald Staley, JoAnn Hutzell and Bonnie Reigel.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Amy Carey (Curtis) of Martinsburg, WV and Angela Shifflette (Darrell) of Hagerstown, MD; his grandson Jaden Shifflette of Martinsburg, WV; and his sister Diane Payne of Williamsport, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
