She was predeceased by: her parent Corbit P. Wiles; her husband Gerald Shannon; her son David Watson Shannon; her brother Lantz Wiles; and her brothers-in-law, George Kimbrough, Paul Maier and Watson Maier.
She is survived by: her parent Ethel Stewart Wiles; her children, Kennard Shannon (Ruth) of Tunnelton, Roger Shannon (Dawn) of Tunnelton, Rodney Shannon (Susan) of Tunnelton, John Shannon (Karen) of Grafton, Margaret Wiles (Randall) of Tunnelton and Juanita Woods (Danny Thorn) of Tunnelton; her sisters, Irene Kimbrough, Lovie Maier of Tunnelton and Adelaide Maier; and her daughter-in-law Virginia Shannon of Tunnelton. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren.
