She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond O. Sanders and Eva Ashby Sanders; her husband John Howard Phillips; her son James M. Phillips; her sister Doris Adams; and her daughter-in-law Martha Phillips.

She is survived by: her sons, John Allen Phillips (Dianne) of Jane Lew, WV, David Lynn Phillips (Donna) of Ridgeley, WV and Richard Paul Phillips (Jill) of Hope Mills, NC; her daughter-in-law Janet Lee Phillips of Ft. Ashby, WV.; and her grandchildren, TJ Phillips (Bridget), Beth Stone (Chris), Jim Phillips (Laura), Jill Ridgway (Cory), Jenna Smith (Scott), Danny Phillips (Asheton), Marc Phillips (Sydney), Rachel Philips, Levi Phillips, Josian Phillips and Zane Phillips. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren.
