He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Bruce and Ruby Menear (Pratt) of Virginia; his daughter Cheryl Ann Kesner (Menear); and his siblings, Harry "Popeye" Menear, Robert "Bruce" Menear, Jackie Ellsworth Menear and Virginia Farley (Menear).
He is survived by: his daughter LaDonna (Wayne Queen); his wife Janice Menear (Murphy); his daughter Michelle Menear of Kingwood; his grandson Tyler Weaver (Helen Reel) of Morgantown; his brothers, John "Richard" (Freda Menear) and Stanley Menear of Kingwood; his sisters-in-law, Thelma DeWitt, Phyllis Menear and Karen Menear; his grandchildren, Lacey Chappell, Kaitlyn Kesner, Chaelyn Kesner and Tresten Weaver; and his great grandchildren, Haley, Hunter, Mason Stackhouse, Liam, Leilani, Myloh Presnell, Finley, Henry Bradds and Leighla Weaver. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
