He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lucian and Rose Alfa Adkins (Stowers); his wife Sara Gladys Adkins (Dollen); his grandson Matthew Adkins; and his foster daughter Shannon Stafford.
He is survived by: his sons, Barry Adkins (Connie) of Kingwood and Larry Adkins (Mary) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Brandon Adkins, Shana, Erin McClanahan, Misty Vaughan and Michael Adkins; his stepgrandchildren, William Greaser and Tammy Thiel; his granddaughter Faith Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Trenton, Taylor Adkins, Delaney, Austin, Ashley, Morgan McClanahan, Kenny Ramella, Cody Daniels, Aubrey and Kate Akins; his stepgreat-grandsons, Steven, Christopher and Justin Thiel; and his great great grandchild Mikel Ramella. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
