He was predeceased by: his father Omar A. Ferrell; his sisters, Eloise Malcolm Perry and Helen Hitchings; and his brothers-in-law, J. Richard Malcolm, Franklin Hitchings and Jim Wheeler.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Wheeler Ferrell; his son Stephen Wesley Ferrell, II (Sara Pucke); and his granddaughters, Fiona and Nora Ferrell. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
