He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis Edwards and Leila Sartain Edwards; and his grandparents, William and Beulah Sartain. He is survived by: his daughters, Barbie Blevins (Charles) of Flatwoods, KY, Shellie Miller (Rodger) of Wurtland, KY and Brenda Edwards (Charles) of Flatwoods, KY; his brother William D. Edwards (Carolyn); and the mother of his children Carolyn Perry Markin. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
