He is survived by: his wife Nellie Dean Gilkerson; his children, Pamela Gilkerson, Jamie Gilkerson, Glendal Dean and Kevin Dean; and his brothers, Roger Gilkerson and Ike Gilkerson. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
