It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Croson (Kearneysville, West Virginia), born in Lovettsville, Virginia, who passed away on March 19, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Lewis David Croson; and his daughter Nancy Mills. He is survived by: his parent Mabel Florence Ridgeway; his wife Catherine May Smith Croson; his son James Timothy Croson (Teresa) of Harpers Ferry; his stepson Charles Williams (Stacey) of Bakerton; his daughters, Janet Fellers (Norman) of Martinsburg, Brenda Gain of Inwood and Julie Lewis (Kevin) of Kearneysville; his stepdaughters, Catherine Lakin of Jefferson, Frances Burdette (Donald) of New Windsor, Betty Hammond (Greg) of Charles Town and Brenda Boyer of Kearneysville; his sisters, Bernice Stallings of Purcellville and Betty Sheets (Russell) of Vienna; his son-in-law Greg Mills; and his grandchildren, Jamie Croson, Austin Croson and Ethan Gano. He is also survived by numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
