He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Hardee and Faye Hardee (Markle); his daughter Deborah "Debbie" Johnson; and his brother Ricky Hardee. He is survived by: his son Timothy "Timmy" Hardee (Lisa); his siblings, Ronnie, Craig Hardee, Elaine Fisher, Marjorie Larick, Judy Stains and Beverly Stauffer; his grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Nathan Hardee, Amanda Gum and Taylor Hardee; his great grandchildren, Aria Hardee and Zoey Hardee; and his son-in-law William Johnson.
