He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Bailes and Eva Bailes; his wife Fances Bailes; and his siblings, Arlene Wiseman, Gerald "Jack" Bailes, Gerry Amick, Robert "Bob" Bailes and Leila "Pete" Dooley.
He is survived by: his children, Shawn Bailes (Stephanie) of Ripley, Robert Bailes (Cassie) of Lavalette and Michael Bailes (Lisa) of Fishersville, VA; his grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Brynlee, Carson, Maggie and Fox; his great grandchildren, Emersyn and Winnie; and his sister Linda Willis of Summersville.
