It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Jean Terry of Hurricane, West Virginia, born in Winfield, West Virginia, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Meadows and Vennie Ball Meadows; her husband Albert F. Terry; and her siblings, Bill, Gordie Meadows, Rosalie Childers and Juanita Milbee.
She is survived by: her daughter Diana Hughes; her grandchildren, Michael Maddox (Terra) and Angela Maddox; her great grandchildren, Brianna VanScoy (Jackson), Taylor Maddox, Austin Maddox, Ryker and David Jackson VanScoy; and her sisters-in-law, Georgia Summers, Nellie Terry, Genevieve Wesley, Elizabeth "Libby" Hardison and Lynn Craig.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggestions memorial donations be made in Shirley's name to Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
