She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cutright and Ardith Cutright (Richmond). She is survived by: her husband Dr. Joseph Mayo Nelson; her children, Dr. Timothy William Nelson (Suzanne) of Charleston, Elizabeth Ann Gilson (Mark) of Huntington, Kathryn Richmond Neely (Joey) of Charlotte, NC and John Christoper Nelson (Meredith MacFadyen) of Davidson, NC; her grandchildren, Dr. Caitlyn Nelson, Caroline Nelson, Joseph (Lindsay), Morgan, Madison and Mac Neely; and her great grandchildren, Aubrey and Nora Ruth Neely.
