She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Stottlemyer and Ruth Stottlemyer (Smith); her siblings, Darlene Tressler, Dorothy Bitner, Marie Stottlemyer and Robert Stottlemyer; and her granddaughter Amanda Jean Dion.

She is survived by: her husband Omer L. Bitner; her children, Debra Gates of Leitersburg, MD, Denise Dion (Bruce) of Savannah, GA, Wayne Bitner (Rhonda) of Hedgesville, WV and Michael Bitner (Stephenie) of Hedgesville, WV; and her siblings, Louella Yeager of Hagerstown, MD, Betty Schroyer of Ringgold, MD, Judy Jones of Hagerstown, MD, Otha Stottlemyer of Lantz, MD, Charles Stottlemyer of Lantz, MD and John Stottlemyer of Waynesboro, PA.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
