He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oden and Nellie Mae Ott Oden; and his daughter Kathy Pauley. He is survived by: his wife Amber; his children, Tammy Longerbeam (Bruce) of Harpers Ferry, Sherry Parker (Gail) of Charles Town, Sam Oden, Jr. (Valerie) of Martinsburg, Timothy Oden and Vincent Oden of Harpers Ferry; his stepchildren, Robert Hahn, Jr., Brownsville, MD, Michael Hahn of Brunswick, MD, Randy Hahn of Front Royal, VA and Mindy Hahn Bosley (Donald) of Inwood, WV; and his brother Donald Thomas Oden (Esther) of Bakerton, WV. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
