He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lawrence Jones and Ruby Eunice Smith Jones; his son Mark Edward Jones; and his siblings, Lawrence Jones, Joseph Jones, Rosemary Young and Lavonne Durbin.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Joan Ping Jones; his sons, Jeffrey Leon Jones (Sonja) of Gerrardstown, WV and Jerry Alan Jones (Amanda) of Snellville, GA; and his siblings, Michael Jones (Terri) of Decatur, IL and Linda Wilhelm (Wayne) of Decatur, IL.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
