He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Freeman and Ruth Ratcliff Freeman; and his brothers, Larry Gene Freeman and Jerry Dale Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Joan Freeman of Milton, WV; his children, Mark Edward Freeman (Cathy) of Ona, WV, Leigh Gillmeister (Greg) of Milton, WV and Mary Bednar of Stow, OH; his sister Carol Underwood of Huntington, WV; and his grandchildren, Joe Freeman, Dave Freeman (Lauren), Ian Gillmeister (Kimmy), Leslie Hajiyev (Zack) and Jeremy Parton.
