He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kennen and Joanna Kennen (Miller); his sons, Benjamin and Mathew Kennen; and his siblings, Chris, Dan Kennen and Laurie Kennen.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Kennen (McBride); his daughter Kelli Kennen (Sean Smith) of Weirton, WV; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Kennen, Vaila Smith, Nikola Smith and Gemma Kennen; his stepmother Carolyn Kennen of Massillon, OH; his siblings, Susan Dawson (Bill) of Follansbee, WV, Susan Teter (Gary) of New Market, VA and Phillip Kennen (Rachel) of Massillon, OH; and his siblings-in-law, Uyen Kennen of Mission Viejo, CA, Melody Hamilton (Cree) of Las Vegas, NV, Thomas McBride (Cindy) of Melbourne, FL, Patrick McBride (Carrie) of Great Falls, MT and Charles McBride (Melanie) of Mingo Junction, OH. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
