He was predeceased by: his parent Carl A.; and his son-in-law Thomas E. Smith. He is survived by: his parent Velma Buchanan (Daugherty); his wife Elizabeth Buchanan (Betty Windland); his children, Jeffery Buchanan of Colorado, Cheryl Sams (Rick) of Parkersburg, Pamela Smith of Plantation, FL and Anita Somerville (Eric) of Lubeck; and his grandchildren, Karla West, Bryan Buchanan, Alicia West, Amy McCall, Chad Smith, Sean Smith, Devan Smith, Mathew Somerville and Miranda Somerville. He is also survived by his children and a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
