It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Hammond Zerbe (Dunbar, West Virginia), born in Nitro, West Virginia, who passed away on May 19, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard O. Zerbe Sr. and Fanny H. Zerbe. He is survived by: his wife Janet Eads Zerbe of Dunbar, WV; his daughter Rachael Zerbe Thornbury (Bruce) of Canonsburg, PA; his granddaughters, Rebekah, Abigail and Lillian of Canonsburg; his brothers, Richard Zerbe Jr. (Diane) of Seattle, WA and S. Carter Zerbe; his stepmother Wilma Campbell Zerbe of Wilson, NC; and also Maureen Conley of Charleston, WV. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends.

““Tommy, peggy smith, bobbie howard & i were playmates on 21st street in Nitro when we were all growing up. I, too, was part of that group,along with Susan Heiberger, Kay Grove, Mary Knapp and many other children. many of us learned to swim at Lake Chaweva. My Family moved away in 1958. Tommy was a great companion, we were in the same grade, learned to ride bikes at the same time. I am so sorry to learn of Tommy's death. My condolences to his family and friends, Neva Willard GaNun”
