He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Myrtle and Anna Myrtle; his wife Nancy (Hill); and his siblings, Harold, David of James, Michael and Marquita.
He is survived by: his friend Bill W.; his grandchild Mountaineer; his son Scotty (Melissa); his grandchildren, Dice and Adair; his sisters, Sue Loudermilk, Nancy O'Neal, Diana Pottorff (John) and Judy Johnson; and his cousin Janice Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
