She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston and Hattie Preston; her husband Howard House, Jr.; her in-laws, Howard House Sr. and Etta Jones; her children, Cecil House, Sr. and Tamel House; her granddaughter Rocquel House; her siblings, James Preston, Dorothy Mitchell and Sarah Nowling; her son-in-law Richard Peterkin; and her sister-in-law Edrema Newsome.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Peterkin, Minister Cheryl House of Dunbar, WV and Delmetris Peterkin (John) of Washington, PA; her siblings-in-law, Rosharon Cordell (Earl) of Columbus, OH and Leonard Barron of Columbus, OH; and her nephew Robert Woodson of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
