Lorena Slater Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2020, at the age of 91, Lorena Slater of Dunbar, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lyons and Stella Lyons; her sister Nancy Jane Lyons Derenberger; and her husband Carl W. Slater. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Slater Bishop (Bob), Jerry Slater and Stephen Slater (Karen); her sister Helen F. Hackney (Howard); and her pet Dutchess. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dunbar United Methodist Church, 1401 Myers Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
