It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Carter (Dunbar, West Virginia), born in Charleston, West Virginia, who passed away on October 27, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnson Reed and Eliza Reed; her husband Charles Carter; and her son-in-law Albert Ashby. She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ashby of Charleston, Calvin Carter (Lucinda) of Eleanor, Becky McCallister (David) of Decota, Terry Bock (Brian) of Parkersburg, Kelly Winnell (Mark) of Charleston and Ginger Breeden (Roger) of Charleston; her brother Okie Reed (Shirley) of Cleveland, OH; her sisters-in-law, Betty Ann McGraw and Rosalie Parsons; and also Karen Bailey. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 5 great- great grandchildren.
