He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Leroy and Emma Margrett Roders Stiefer; his stepson Pete Sigmon; and his siblings, Allen, Lee, Omar, Tommy, Walter, Charlie, Ann Hough and Mary Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Marie Ramsey Stiefer; his stepchildren, Bill Bowe, David Bowe, Alice Riffe, Rose Sigmon and Angie Blackmon; his sister Irma Johns; and his niece Cora Stiefer. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren.
