He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Ann Nelson and Darious Burns; and his siblings, Earnest, Eddie, Gaylen Burns and Betty Ruth Ball.
He is survived by: his close friend Charlotte Walker; his sisters, Denita Miller and Becky Jarrell (Dennis); his daughters, Kimberly Gibson and Carrie Burns; his stepchildren, Scott Epling (Julie) and Vanessa Epling (Scott); his grandchildren, Daniel Gibson (Casey), Jazmyn Gibson, Seth Epling, Jordan Epling, Kole Epling and Devan Chandler (KK); and his nephew Mark Miller, Jr. (Shawna). He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and friends.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Danny Burns name to Van Jr Sr High School female sports no amount is too big or small.
