He was predeceased by: his father Donald Bolyard of Morgantown; and his grandparents, Pauline Hendershot Brand Graham, Glenn Brand, Minnie Bolyard and Ira Bolyard.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Brand (Gear); his children, Eric Brand of Buckhannon, Elizabeth Brand of Bridgeport and Kevin Brand of Clarksburg; his parents-in-law, Verl and Helen Gear of Clarksburg; his siblings-in-law, David Gear (Polly) of Clarksburg, John Gear (Cheryl) of Clarksburg, Jeffrey Gear (Anita) of Kenna and Cheryl Lewis (J. T.) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his cousin Vanessa Squires of Clarksburg; his friend Aaron Carrico; and also Aaron Carrico of Clarksburg. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
