We are sad to announce that on December 25, 2023, at the age of 82, Joseph T. Chontos (Chester, West Virginia), born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Chontos and Julia R. Chontos; and his significant other Nancy Dahl. He is survived by: his close friend Helen Pickering Doherty of East Liverpool; his siblings, Rosemarie Stashko of Pittsburgh and Herbert Chontos (Patricia) of Colorado Springs, CO; his sons, Joseph (Diane) of Pittsburgh, PA and James (Viola) of East Liverpool, OH; his stepsons, Douglas Dahl of Brooklyn, NY and Brandon Dahl of Los Angeles, CA; and his pet Rusty.
Memorial donations in Joe's honor can be made to the East Liverpool City Schools Athletic Department, 810 West 8th Street, East Liverpool for the benefit of the baseball and football teams.
