She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Howard and Catherine Morris; and her sisters, Patsy Picarella, Nancy McCoy and Jackie McCann.
She is survived by: her children, Bert McDermitt Jr. (Julie) of DuPont City, Pete McDermitt, Missy Phalen (John) of Glasgow and Amber Swisher (Sam) of Dunbar; her adoptive daughter Tammy Herrald (Robbie) of Glasgow; her brothers, Howard W. "Slick" Morris of Ravenswood and John Morris (Carolyn) of Shreveport; her grandchildren, Madelyn, Hannah McDermitt, Tabitha, Jared Phalen, Kylo Swisher and Jessica Herrald; her great grandchild Liam Phalen; and her brothers-in-law, James Picarella, Clarence McCoy and Mickey McCann. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
