He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bassell Pumphrey and Alice Walsh Pumphrey; and his brother Donald. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Shobe; his sister-in-law Shirley Pumphrey of Davison, MI; his niece Elizabeth Ziembo (Dan) of Lennon, MI; and his nephews, Michael Pumphrey (Juliann) of Davison, MI and David Pumphrey (Dawn) of Fairfield, OH..
