He is survived by: his mother Dolores "Dorry" Sambol; his siblings, Steve Sambol (Debbie) of Bridgeport and Linda Bigler (Tim) of Cornelius, NC; his niece Megan Griffith (Ben) of Bridgeport; his nephews, Shane Sambol of Bridgeport, Alex Thorne (McKenzie Koon) of Bridgeport and Luke Sambol of Bridgeport; his brother-in-law Donnie Thorne (Heidi); and his great-nephew Ryan Griffith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 68, P.O. Box 111, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
