He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gowarty Sr. and Isabelle "Pat" Gowarty. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Price; his daughter Hannah Gowarty; his sister Angie Gowarty of Kingwood; and his pet Astro.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been set up in his name for students from Notre Dame High School that will be attending Fairmont State University or will be studying Engineering at any university.
