It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Sandy of Bridgeport, West Virginia, born in Rosemont, West Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Sandy and Elsie Jenkins Sandy; his children, Larry Sandy, Gary Sandy, Shirley Sandy and Darlene Sandy; and his siblings, Arthur Walter Sandy, Harry Sandy, Charles Sandy, Sarah Hyde, Jacklene Goff and Mary Lodge.

He is survived by: his daughters, Dora Hart (Michael) of Bridgeport, Carol Hood of Clarksburg, Dorothy Sandy (Phil Hart) of Bridgeport and Glenda Snider (George) of Bridgeport; and his brothers, Floyd Thomas "Tom" Sandy of Pullman, Kenneth Sandy (Marilyn) of Bridgeport and Robert Paul Sandy (Sheila) of Pullman. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
