He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Samuel and Mary Alice Griffin (Spangler); his brother Edward Griffin (Elsie); and his sister-in-law Mary Lee Griffin. He is survived by: his spouse Wonda "Chip" Hope Van Horn; his children, Scott Carlton Griffin and Sara McDaniels (Jerry) of Boothsville; his grandchildren, Jamie Rochelle Griffin, Dustin Nile Evans and Julia Catherine McDaniels; his great grandchild Kaylee Mayle; and his brother Robert Dean Griffin of Bridgeport. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
